Confused? Then you've come to the right place! I will do my best to answer some of the most commonly-asked questions here. If, after you have read (or at least skimmed) through this whole page, you are still confused, do not worry! I have included a form at the bottom for you to submit your own questions.

Why are there ads? What happens if I click them?
This is a great question! As I'm sure many of you know, webhosting is not free. For the most part, RDBA does not take up too much space or bandwidth, and thus it is relatively cheap for me to keep it up and running. "Relatively cheap" is still not free, however, and since RDBA is entirely for fun, it does not generate any revenue. Thus, the ads are through Google's AdSense program, and the idea is that (hopefully!) they will help cover some of the cost of keeping RDBA up and running.
You are welcome to click on them, if you so desire! I highly encourage it, if you see any that interest you, though I am not allowed to offer any kind of incentive for you to do so, other than my appreciation. :) Finally, I would ask that you please not use any adblocking software on rainypony.net, but I cannot require or enforce this. Thanks!
What about that little "+1" button? What happens if I click it?
Similar answer to above: The +1 button is from Google, and it's sort of a way for Google to keep track of how searchable RDBA should be. It's somewhat complicated, but you might as well think of it as similar to a "Like" button on Facebook. So feel free to click it, if you would recommend RDBA to your friends! :)
How do I add adoptions to my page?
First log in via the login form in the upper-left corner of any page. Next, click the "Edit My Page" link which should have appeared in place of the login form. On this page, if you scroll down to below the heading "New Adoption:" you should see a form to fill out. You will need to select a category into which your new adoption will be added, as well as several other relevant details about your adoption. When you have finished filling out the form, click the "Add New Adoption" button at the bottom of the form, and the adoption should be added to your page right away!
How do I make my adoption images show up?
There are two important components to making an image show up on your page. First, you must have a photobucket account (or something similar) to store your images. Once you have this, you will need to enter the full URL for the root directory of it into the "Photobucket URL" field on the "My Account" page. This includes the "http://" part. You want the URL that includes something like "albums." Next, when you add each new adoption, there will be an "image title" field, in which you will need to enter the full title of your image, complete with extension, e.g. "fluffy.gif". If you have made subfolders within your photobucket account, you will need to include the entire path, e.g. "dogz/rufus.gif" or "catz/fluffy.gif". The idea is that you want the Photobucket URL in your Account page followed by the image title to be the full address of the image.
How do I mark a pet as adopted within a litter?
First you must log in, and click "Edit My Page." Next, find the litter in question under your adoptions, and click the "Edit" button which appears just above the litter. A new page will come up, which allows you to make various edits on your litter. Below the image are the words "Check if adopted," and a section with all of the names that were entered when the litter was originally posted. Next to each name is a checkbox. If the checkbox is checked, the name it is next to will show up with a line through it, and thus that pet will show up as adopted. Note: This is only an option for litters, and if the adoption was entered as a "single" originally, the checkboxes will not show up. Also note that the Google Chrome browser has some issues with checkboxes, so if you do not see them, it may be your browser.
What else can I customize?
You can customize a lot of things on your page! For instance, you can use HTML to include images in your introduction, change font size, make some words bold or italic, etc. Linebreaks will show up as typed, however, so the tags "<br>" and "<p>" are unnecessary. Additionally, you can include as many open-ended questions in your adoption form as you would like, provided you enter each on a new line within the "Open-ended Form Questions" textbox.
How do I retrieve a lost password?
At this point, there is no automated way to do this, though I am looking into finding a secure way. As I do not personally have access to any member's password (they are stored in an encrypted format on the server), the best I am able to do is to generate a new password for you and ask you to change it as soon as you can. Feel free to E-Mail me if you would like me to do this for you. Please be sure to include your username, and send from the E-Mail address used on your account so that I know it is you.
How can I see who is online?
As yet, this feature has not been implemented, though it has been suggested and I am currently looking into including it at some point. I will post an update to the front page when/if this happens.
Will the layout of RDBA ever change?
The ability to change the look of RDBA is another feature which is currently underway. I will let you know when it is ready.
